Julie is an independent filmmaker, academic researcher, writer and artist. For the past 6 years much of her work has focussed on parkour.

Julie was commissioned by Westminster City Council to follow and document the cretaion of London’s first Parkour Park. Watch the film here.


Julie will be presenting at the ‘Generation Parkour’ conference at the Gerlev Sport Academy in Denmark, 21-22nd Sept.


Julie has been travelling to various parkour events/projects in America and Canada documenting the female perspective of the discipline. Photos here and videos to come soon.


Julie will be presenting a talk on parkour at the Royal Anthropological Society’s event: Bodies in motion in London on Friday 30th April.


Following on from her academic research into parkour and unregulated physical creative practices, Julie has been invited by the International Play Association to be part of a pool of international experts who will be commenting on the United Nations Article  31 promoting the Child’s Right to Play. The involvement of the pool of experts is to ensure broad geographic and cultural input and representation of all elements of article 31.


Julie has spent the last few months documenting various Movnat courses in both Thailand and the UK. Videos are available here.
